Biography of the Rapinchuk Family
Kristin and I met while students at College of the Ozarks in the fall of 2002. We were married in Fort Worth, Texas, on June 12, 2004. After I graduated from College of the Ozarks in May of 2005, we moved to Texas where Kristin was an Administrative Assistant for the Star-Telegram (newspaper) and I was a bookseller (eventual manager) at Barnes & Noble. In May 2006, I began my Masters of Divinity (MDiv) at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. On July 21 of that same summer, our first child, a daughter named Karis Lynn, was born. Our second child, Anastacia Sophia, was born on January 15, 2008. Our third child, a son named Aviel David, was born on May 6, 2010.
After graduating with my MDiv in December 2010, we moved back to Branson, Missouri, where I began teaching classes part-time at College of the Ozarks. In the summer of 2011, I began my PhD in Old Testament Studies at Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary in Mill Valley, California. Since moving back to Branson, we have been members of fbcBranson where I serve as an adult Sunday school teacher and Kristin serves on the worship team. In the spring of 2012 we were given the wonderful privilege of becoming the new directors of BSU and Campus Missionaries to College of the Ozarks. I was also hired in the spring as an Assistant Professor of Christian Worldview at School of the Ozarks, a laboratory school of College of the Ozarks.
We are so thankful for the opportunity to be Campus Missionaries because the Lord has prepared our hearts since college to work with college students. We are grateful for this ministry, not only our role in it now, but also the long and fruitful ministry from years past. We pray that God will use us here to advance His kingdom by proclaiming the Gospel, making disciples, and serving Him by serving His people. We look forward to getting to know all of you better as we continue in this ministry.
